Career
Worst career moment: Trawling the streets of Blackpool on a Friday night trying to find 'young single mums who got pregnant by a man on a stag do'.
Best career moment: Becoming Commissioning Editor of Pick Me Up and winning 'Writer of the year' for my previous year's work at the IPC Media awards all on the same day. I was chuffed.
Weirdest thing shouted across the office at me: 'Nikki how's your vulva coming along?' (I was on deadline writing a story about a lady who had liposuction on her ladyparts at the time.)
I wish I'd done that: Broken the back-from-the-dead canoeist John Darwin story. The closest news gets to a soap opera! Also I wish I'd created Twitter.
Leisure & interests
Biggest obsession: Food. Cooking it, eating it, watching programmes about it. As a result I'm almost always hungry.
Favourite colour: green or leopard print. Forget Mel B, Bet Lynch is the real leopard legend.
Favourite book: The Alchemist by Paulo Cohelo.
Favourite DVD box set: The Wire. The Stringer Bell/Omar/Brother Mouzone scene still sends shivers down my spine.
Sport of choice: To watch; Formula 1. To practice; swimming and running.
Ambitions
Career: To do what I love and never simply 'work to live'. To never stop learning.
Sporting: Run a marathon, although realistically my knees will probably only stand up to a half-marathon!
Travel: To see the Northern Lights, visit Tierra del Fuego and climb Mt. Fuji.
Personal: I already have a man I adore, fantastic friends and the best family a girl could wish for. All I need now is my dream PR job and the perfect home in the perfect place to share with my fella!
